If you're flying on United (UA) out of LAX and have a domestic first class ticket, you can now use their first class lounge for a $150 fee. The exclusive lounge, located near Gate 75, was previously reserved just for international- and JFK-bound first class passengers. But now they're throwing the doors open to anyone with a first class boarding card. Even celebrities who frequently use it will now have to pay the fee unless flying first internationally or are heading to JFK. Keep in mind that passengers can still buy a $50 day pass for the Red Carpet Club, located near Gate 70A. The big difference is that the first class lounge is a quiet haven with free booze, food and attentive and friendly agents. Is it worth the fee?
